The RCH20 hollow shaft optical commutation encoder combines three phase brushless motor commutation pulses, two data channels, and a reference index pulse in one package. The manufacturer says that the RCH20 is highly shock, vibration, and temperature resistant, and can be rotated to align with motor rotor poles. Frequency response is a reported 300 kHz and the encoder can give up to 5000 pulses per revolution.
