Embedded SBC

An Intel 166 MHz Pentium SBC can operate in temperatures from -40 to 85C. The EBC-TXPlus combines CPU, video controller, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, four serial channels, 48 bi-directional digital I/O lines, and solid-state disk support onto a 5.75×8 inches EBX-compatible platform. Windows, Linux and other AT-compatible operating systems are supported.

Sensors

SD Series solid-state speed and direction sensors provide separate digital outputs to indicate both the speed and direction of a ferrous geartooth target. Each module contains two integrated circuit Hall-effect sensors offset from each other and biased by an internal magnetic field. Internal conditioning logic analyzes the phase difference between the two sensors to determine the direction of target rotation.

Modeling software

SURFCAM®Design Plus is a procedural modeling design system that automates the construction and editing of 2D and 3D models. Each aspect of a procedure, including its sketches, geometric relationships, features, and parameters, is fully associative. This gives the user the ability to modify each independently and concurrently within the procedure, allowing substantial changes to the model without reconstructing geometry.

Pressure instruments

The heart of the Series 1200 and 1300 differential pressure instruments is a piston-magnet assembly that responds to changes in pressure. It is magnetically coupled to a rotary magnet with dial pointer shaft that is completely isolated from the pressure chamber. Fabricated from type 316 stainless steel or naval brass, the instruments are rated for 3,000 to 5,000 psig line pressures.

Motor

The N11 series 1.1-inch diameter brushless dc motors provide continuous torque up to 10 oz-inch and speeds in excess of 30,000 rpm. Current sizes are 2.5 and 3.2 inches long and one version, best used in hand-held surgical devices, features a cannulated shaft. The shaft has been designed to allow surgeons to feed a pin or wire through the unit.

Guide

The Type HSR-M-2A guide is compactly designed with four rows of load-carrying balls positioned between the rail and the block. The rail features precision-machined grooves to carry four rows of freely rotating balls down its length. On each side of the rail, two of the grooves are arranged tier-style, permitting the balls to be located at a contact angle of 45°to the block.

Rail system

SBC Profile Rail System consists of LG series rails and LG series blocks that are available in 4 ranges—two for high load capacities and two for ultra-high load applications. Standard size rail lengths begin at 6.5 inches with a maximum length of a single rail section being 120 inches. Accessories include a side grease nipple for obstructed applications.

Solenoids

Tubular dc solenoids offered in 1/2- and 11/2-inch diameters use nylon bobbins and electroless nickel-plated plungers producing a low coefficient of friction. The 1/2-inch model is a thread-mounted solenoid with a hexagonal mounting nut. The 11/2-inch model has a side mounting bracket for added stability and comes in a pull type with a choice of three duty cycles.
