After receiving customer feedback, doing sales channel research and analyzing other business-to-business sites, Hoffman has redesigned its website, www.hoffmanonline.com, to offer a new online product catalog, enhanced search options, and streamlined navigation. A red navigation bar on the upper left side of the page offers product, services and industry solutions information. Product information is available by product or industry category, and visitors can use the product search tool on every page of the site. An advanced search tool allows customers to enter product-specific criteria to make it easier to find the right product. Customers can print or e-mail product information directly from the site.

In response, vendors in the CAD world are building out CAE functionality as part of their CAD suites while simulation vendors are building tighter integrations to leading CAD tools. Keith Meintjes, Ph.D., Practice Manager, Simulation and Analysis at CIMdata, Inc., joins Design News CAD Editor Beth Stackpole in this radio program to explore the new face of integrated CAD and CAE, how companies are benefitting from this tighter partnership between platforms, and how integrating CAE earlier in the development cycle pays off in optimized product designs.
