The G3VM-S is the newest member of the Omron G3VM line of MOS FET relays. The relay, measuring 2.1 x 4.2 x 6.5 mm, can easily be installed into a PCMCIA card. It is geared for datacom and computer peripheral/office automation applications, including cellular telephones, beepers, pagers and portable printers. Relays have output voltages of up to 350V dc for demanding applications, 50 mA input, and maximum output ON-resistance of 35V.

Sciaky, provider of electron-beam additive manufacturing (EBAM) services, will start selling these machines commercially in September. The company has used its EBAM 3D printing technology for making very large, high-value, metal prototypes and production parts for aerospace and defense OEMs.
