Mill-Max's online guide now includes RoHS-equivalent parts for nearly all its products, eliminating lead components in tin/lead plating. The guide offers gold and pure matte tin plating alternatives. The RoHS products will also have a high-temperature plastic insulator, for use in lead-free soldering processes. Original "legacy" tin/lead-plated products will be included for buyers who are exempt from the new RoHS regulations.
A new service lets engineers and orthopedic surgeons design and 3D print highly accurate, patient-specific, orthopedic medical implants made of metal -- without owning a 3D printer. Using free, downloadable software, users can import ASCII and binary .STL files, design the implant, and send an encrypted design file to a third-party manufacturer.
