SAD servo motors range from a fraction of a kW to several 100 kW. One of the company’s units uses a single Cm3 connector from ITT Cannon instead of two traditional round connections. Targeting servo motors below 100 mm with flange sizes of 60 × 60 mm or smaller, the connector provides variable shielding from a movable metal wall that separates the signal and power portions. In addition to being smaller than conventional circular connectors, the single Cm3 weighs 50 percent less. The unit’s design provides a simple connection for fast installation and low maintenance.
