Motion controllers

Econo Series DMC-21x2 motion controllers come in 1-8 axis formats, each with a 10Base T ethernet port and a 19.2 kbyte RS232 port requiring +5V and ±12V power. The motion controllers feature homing inputs and forward/reverse limits for each axis, 8 uncommitted I/O for 5-8 axis models, and encoder inputs up to 12 MHz. Applications include point-to-point positioning, jogging, electronic gearing, and ECAM.

Motors

RE-max 13-mm diameter moving coil motors with neodymium magnets use an ironless rotor allowing for zero-cogging. Available in two versions, a 0.80- or 1.20-inch length package rated at 1.20 and 2.50W, the motors weigh in at 15 or 24g. Buscoupler

The Ethernet buscoupler utilizes Modbus TCP/IP for data transmission at 10 Mbit/100 Mbit between control and machine components. An RJ-45 socket is provided for fast 10/100 base-T4 connections along with a standard keypad for on-board diagnostics allowing such functions as force trigger and lock to be performed locally.

Control stations

FlexStation control stations are complete systems of interchangeable components that can be assembled using standard tools in reportedly any combination by an authorized distributor or from the factory. Control station includes pushbuttons, pilot lights, and selector switches, with features such as transformers, lockouts, and multiple 10A, 600V contact blocks.

Positioning stage

The LC-9.5 positioning stage provides a straight-line accuracy of 0.01 mm per 25 mm of travel, and a repeatability of 0.0025 mm. Consisting of a lightweight aluminum base, it is available with or without a stepper motor. The positioning stage is suitable for high-accuracy intermittent positioning of fiber-optic components, adhesive deposition, robotic sampling, positioning of lenses, and other optical devices.

Microcontroller units

The 68HC90MR8 microcontroller unit (MCU) for motor control systems is reportedly energy-efficient and provides flexibility in designing electronic motor systems. The MCU has a Flash memory of 100,000 write/erase cycles and 50-year data retention (running at 55C). Features available include PWM waveform distortion correction, multiple-fault inputs, and stop-clock detection. Applications include home and industrial products.

Transducer

The SG10 wire-actuated transducer measures lengths up to 1,000 mm by converting linear movement into precise rotational values. Tranducer fastens to the measured object with a paraline cable and can adapt to a potentiometer or incremental encoder for signal utilization. The transducer has a maximum travel speed of 800 m/sec and measuring length up to 1,000m. SG10 transducer is suitable for industrial applications.
