This compact interferometer measures at just 8 × 14 × 8 inches, weighs only 40 lbs, and can be powered by a 12V car battery, allowing for freedom of movement. Each system includes a 0.5 cm-1 resolution interferometer equipped with your choice of beamsplitter and detector, and can be used to provide detection at ppb to percent levels for hundreds of chemicals for such applications as battlefield chemical warfare analysis, civilian hazardous event response, or industrial stack and/or fenceline monitoring analysis.
HP revealed more of its 3D printing plans in a recent webinar. Senior vice president of inkjet and graphics solution business Stephen Nigro spoke about how the technology works and expanded on HP's vision of open collaboration to commercialize its Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology for end-production, and open collaboration on new materials. He also said HP will create software to help users decide when to use Multi Jet Fusion versus conventional subtractive manufacturing.
