THERMX(reg) LCP MN001 chemical- and steam-resistant polyester is for injection molding medical devices. The material is an unmodified version of the copolymer the company produces for electronic circuit-board applications. Applications include use in surgical staplers, catheter tubing, tubing for optical fibers and long shaft devices, sheaths for electric cauterizing tools, and internal components for needle-free syringes. The polyester features a heat- deflection temperature of 269C. The material is extruded at barrel temperatures of 324C and mold temperatures of 121C.
