Spatial showcased free registration to 3Dmodelserver.com, the web-based CAD model healing and translation service. Now in its third release, it offers full translation of CATIA and STEP files, as well as healing and translation of SAT and IGES files.
Algor exhibited InCAD DesignPak which offers seamless interoperability with CAD solid modelers, working from within CAD to provide access to powerful FEA tools. The company also launched two new websites-www.pipepak.com and www. feaincad.com-with their own tutorials, webcasts, webcourses, and newsletters.
For product data interoperability solutions, International TechneGroup (ITI) had the release of CADfix version 3.0, a tool to detect and repair geometry and topology imperfections often found in CAD models.

CADKEY Corp. unveiled CADKEY Parametrics, its latest freeform 3D automation tool, providing users with on-demand access to a complete design toolset to boost creativity and manufacturing precision. It offers parametric definition and editing of dimension-driven solid models, integrated into CADKEY 99 or Design Suite.
If you want to take mechanical CAD/CAM/CAE to the next level, Unigraphics Solutions debuted Unigraphics version 16, which uses Predictive Engineering to incorporate engineering practices and product life cycle knowledge into the product development environment. They were also previewing Solid Edge version 8.
For the cutting-edge nonlinear structural dynamics and coupled-field multiphysics, ANSYS had on hand its brand new release, ANSYS®5.6.
