Clippard Instrument Lab. Inc. (www.clippard.com) will introduce pressure-actuated electrical switches that will enable pneumatics to remotely pilot electrical devices. The actuator has a spring return piston with a low-friction U-cup seal that requires pressure as low as 5 psig to actuate an electrical switch. The company plans to make it available in both subminiature and miniature sizes with a variety of current ratings and terminal styles.
