The latest Famic Technologies Inc.’s Automation Studio includes models for a number of manufacturers’ components, making it far easier for design engineers to create designs using various products.
Key component offerings from manufacturers such as Bosch Rexroth, Parker, Sauer Danfoss, Kawasaki, and others have been added into the symbol libraries offered by the company that’s headquartered in Saint-Laurent, QC, Canada. Users only need to select the appropriate components and drag and drop them onto the workspace to quickly build complex systems. The system also facilitates faster testing of alternative designs.
After a circuit is drawn, the improved dynamic and realistic simulation mode shows the systems’ behavior and so engineers can analyze design integrity. Users can also set parameters for fluid properties and viscosity, and account for heat transfer.
During simulation, components are animated and lines are color-coded according to their state. All components can be sized for more accurate results. Plotter functions can be added to monitor variables such as speed, acceleration, flow, position. It can also display trends and store numerical data. It is also possible to assign and import catalog information and to document projects as Automation Studio automatically generates bill of material.
