A small rotor positioned in front of the active sensing face magnetically controls the MDRM magnetic sensor. Operating from 5V dc, the device generates a linear voltage signal at its output, and can function as a noncontact mechanical potentiometer. The 18-mm-diameter, 30-mm-long component has no moving parts and is fully sealed to IP 67.
