Interactive Website Takes the guesswork out of specifying precision linear actuators
Specifiers of precision linear actuators will benefit from the new interactive website launched by Ultra Motion. By going online to www.ultramotion.com and selecting a motor and lead screw for the "Digit" series of linear actuators, or motor, lead screw, and belt-drive-ratio (1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, and 5:1) for the "Bug" series, a Force/Speed Curve is generated. Being able to configure an actuator and evaluate it's a performance online saves time and takes the guesswork out of specifying an actuator to meet the requirements of an application. AEGIS Products Protect ac motor bearings
When variable frequency drives are used to control ac motors, currents are induced on the motor shaft. These harmful currents build up until they are strong enough to discharge through the bearings, causing fusion craters (frosting, pitting, fluting, etc.) that lead to premature motor failure. By channeling such currents to ground with their patent-pending Electron Transport Technology, AEGIS products, from Electro Static Technology, prevent such damage and dramatically extend motor life. Designed for a variety of applications, these products are fit for OEM motor manufacturers and motor repair shops as well as in-house maintenance. Three different products provide rugged, reliable protection for any size motor. Easily installed and maintenance-free, they last for the life of the motor.
