Three members of the Design News staff were in Germany for the Hannover Technology Fair. The April 16-20 extravanganza featured 6,000 exhibitors from 60 countries. Innovations include a new ball bearing family from igus, a rapid tooling system capable of producing stamping and die-casting tools and the use of fluidic muscles in Festo's bionic demos.
