R+W's Model SK1 stainless-steel coupling is ideal for wash down applications in both the packaging and food processing industries. Developed as a failsafe alternative to electrical current limitation, it utilizes a backlash-free, patented, pre-loaded ball detent system, disengaging in 1 to 3 msec when an overload is detected. There are four versions available, including a single position and a multi-position, along with a full disengagement version and a load-holding version. All R+W torque limiters come with an external ring which moves at disengagement to trigger a proximity sensor which facilitates machine shut-down.
