A line of 120 diodes from Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (www.vishay.com) trims board space by as much as 50%. Package height for switching, ESD protection, and zener and Schottky diodes is only 0.98 mm, lower than anything else now on the market, according to Vishay. The packages, which are lead free, take only 3.7 x 1.8 mm of board space.
