Build speed and color are the hallmarks of two systems from Z Corp. The company offers the ZPrinter 310 Plus ($19,900) and the Spectrum 510 ($49,900), both of which capitalize on the speed of an ink-jet like printing process. While the ZPrinter 310 prints only in a single color, the Spectrum 510 brings prototypes and models to life with a vibrant palette of 16 million colors.
A new material and new technology under the hood have advanced the Z Corp. line beyond the concept modeling application that it has been known for. Combining the properties of its new ZP 130 material with a heated chamber, higher resolution and enhanced motion control, the company states that users are enthusiastic about the quality of the parts. Finer details, smoother finishes and stronger parts are the traits that the users commonly cite.
"Our customers' positive experiences with fast, colorful and affordable 3D printing are reverberating throughout the industry and establishing 3D printing as an integral part of the mainstream design process," said Tom Clay, Z Corp. CEO.
The Spectrum 510 was a product finalist in Design News'Golden Mousetrap Awards. For more information on Z Corp., go to http://rbi.ims.ca/4933-543.
