Linear stepping motors feature speeds up to 0.8m/sec, positioning accuracy to 0.003 mm, and repeatability to 0.003 mm. Glass scales are used for positional and velocity feedback, and stiffness can be added by integrating linear guideways. Single and double axis and rotary styles are available. For semiconductor applications, a positioning stage for a wire-bonding machine is available.
