A dual-cure silicone potting compound delivers complete cure to almost 1-inch depths for deep potting applications with shadowed areas where light cannot reach. It offers instant cure to a depth of 22 mm when exposed to initial UV-light cure. A secondary moisture cure mechanism takes over in deeper potting scenarios or shadowed areas to provide a complete cure.
Curing in seconds when exposed to UV/visible light, 9-20557 exhibits good adhesion to PCB surfaces that receive little or no cleaning. The cured coating forms a transparent layer that protects underlying circuitry and components from moisture, dust, and other contaminants. It can be used where frequent thermal cycling occurs, from -40 to 150F. Using precision dispensing systems, the one-component coating can be applied for consistent spray application.
