Power MOSFETs
Combining a mass manufacturable process platform with an application-specific approach to development, this company's HEXFET®power MOSFETs reportedly offer outstanding performance for zero-voltage switching and hard-switching converters. Packaging, silicon, and an ac/dc power supply design have been combined for advancements such as 60% reduction in R DS(on) , says the company.

Supervisory
circuits
Reported as an industry first, these supervisory circuits operate at 220 nA, which is about one-fourth the power of competing devices. Designers should be able to use this family of ultra-low-power supervisory circuits with integrated delay time to reduce system power consumption and increase system reliability in applications using low-power digital signal processors, microcontrollers, and microprocessors, such as wireless communication systems, Internet audio players, and battery-operated equipment.

Micro-machined relays
Etched from a silicon wafer, these Micro-Machined Relays (MMRs) are reportedly smaller, faster, and have longer life expectancy than traditional electromechanical relays. The chip model is said to feature increased isolation and is offered in a 2.0 x 3.0 mm size. The 6-pin PLCC model is the standard industry package and is 5.25×5.3 mm or less. Traditional relays switch at about 6.0 m/s and the MMR relays switch at 0.5 m/s. Electrical life expectancy is 1 billion operations.
