RADEX flexible-disc couplings are for extended shaft gaps where driveline components should not be moved. This is common in oil refineries and chemical stations, where the motor and pumps are at a standard distance apart and maintenance and/or repairs can be performed on location. The coupling consists of machined steel hubs and stainless-steel laminate package which allows angular and parallel misalignment, and axial travel. Nominal torque ratings range from 130 to 79,650 lbs-inch, with maximum speeds up to 20,000 rpm.
