This microstepping digital drive is built on the Magellan Motion Processor, and works with dc brush, brushless dc or step motors. It's designed for medical, scientific, semiconductor, automation, industrial and robotic applications. It supports two-phase bipolar motors, and can be switched between user-customizable current modes. Providing asynchronous serial (RS485) or CANbus networking communications, the ION has instructions for initializing and controlling motion application, monitoring performance, and synchronizing overall drive behavior. Users can program the resolution up to 256 µsteps/step.
