Multi-level laminated bus bars feature capacitors, mounted with pressed-in-knurled connectors designed to hold the axial capacitor leads, and insulated gate bi-polar transistors (IGBTs), which are bolted to the surfaces. The bus bar connects IGBTs and capacitors in parallel, through the dc link of this circuit, to distribute power to the motor. The individual copper layers use offsets to locate various contact surfaces to their required locations.
