The NanoGage Model 100 short-range position sensor is a small electro-optic sensor with performance reportedly equivalent to a precise capacitance gage but with a 3-mm standoff, little sensitivity to electromagnetic inference and a large measurement bandwidth. It is ideal for a variety of applications, including maintaining a closed-loop position, automated focusing at a specific surface height, run-out measurements or vibration measurements.
