Made for monitoring short-circuit currents, this monitor has a wide common mode sense range of 0V to within 2V of the supply voltage applied. It runs on a dedicated supply pin, and can work on both high and low sides of the load. It is efficient, drawing a quiescent current of less than 50A. It translates voltage across a low-cost external sense resistor into an accurate proportional output voltage. It has a measurement accuracy of more than 3 percent at 25C and a sense voltage of 30 mV due to its low offset voltage.
