The AXIOM-X bar code scanner from Accu-Sort is a modular system that provides higher read rates, greater flexibility and lower total cost of ownership than previous systems. An omnidirectional laser reader, it offers up to 1,120 scans per second and the company says it provides the largest transport coverage in its class. One simple scan head is needed for most applications, which reduces cost and complexity compared to multiple scan head solutions. AXIOM-X offers several data transfer options including UDP messaging, Ethernet/IP, Ethernet TCP/IP, serial and I/O standard connections. AXCESS software allows users to configure and monitor AXIOM-X readers from anywhere in the facility.
