Boston Gear's newest torque-timing clutch is smaller than ordinary units, but has a range of 100 to 1,200 in-pounds of torque range, plus a stainless steel trip plate. It fits into smaller applications with the power of its larger competitors, and would work well in applications such as packaging lines that need torque-limiting rotational timing.
Two new technologies from Stratasys, created in partnership with Boeing, Ford, and Siemens, will bring accurate, repeatable manufacturing of very large thermoplastic end products, and much bigger composite parts, onto the factory floor for industries including automotive and aerospace.
