Hall sensor
By integrating two Hall plates on a single sensor chip, the HAL 710 reportedly saves money and eliminates the need for external logic circuitry. To determine the forward or backward motion of a wheel or shaft, the new sensor detects magnetic fields of multi-polar rotating ring magnets. This no-contact, speed and rotary direction detection is used in sliding roofs, seat adjusters, power windows, and windshield wipers.
