Dorner Manufacturing released its new AquaPruf LPZ 7600 and 7400 Ultimate Sanitary Platform conveyors. The AquaPruf LPZ series is available in three styles: Z-frame, horizontal-to-incline and nose-over. The conveyor can be as long as 38 ft and as wide as 2 ft. The series also has fixed angle points at 30, 45 and 60 deg.
According to Dorner, the AquaPruf LPZ conveyor can be disassembled for cleaning in 30 seconds and does not require the use of tools to do so. The conveyer has solid UHMW wear strips, which lift out of the frame without tools, and open access to tail pulleys for more cleaning options. The AquaPruf LPZ also has multiple points of access to the inside of the conveyer.
The AquaPruf has a stainless-steel gearmotor, welded standoffs and a plastic chain or belt. The bearings are made of 400 stainless steel, use H1 FDA lubricant and are mounted in cast stainless-steel housing. The conveyer has a maximum belt speed of 233 ft/min and can load up to 20 lbs per sq ft.
The LPZ series is considered a standard product, but John Kuhnz, food marketing manager for Dorner Manufacturing, says its a standard product line with a lot of options. Options include length, width, angle and cleat or no-cleat. The price varies based on option combinations, but the base AquaPruf LPZ model (two 5-ft horizontals and one 6-ft incline at 12 lateral total ft) would be around $10,000 to $12,000.
The AquaPruf LPZ conveyor series is made for pharmaceutical and food and beverage facilities, where regular wash-downs are required. The LPZ 7400 Ultimate has higher standards for processing than the 7600 series and has been USDA red meat and poultry certified. All joints on the AquaPruf are welded to meet requirements for USDA certification; there is no tolerance for plate-to-plate contact.
