The Classic Series of vacuum pumps is constructed of the high-tech composite material Polyphenylenesulphide. This glass-reinforced compound provides extreme corrosion resistance against chemicals including acetone, sulphuric acid, and toulene. The 1.32- to 1.65-lb weight of the body style makes the pumps targeted for use in end-of-arm tooling. The pumps are available in three models, M, X, and H. The choice of model is dependent on the desired level of vacuum pressure.

Researchers have been working on a number of alternative chemistries to lithium-ion for next-gen batteries, silicon-air among them. However, while the technology has been viewed as promising and cost-effective, to date researchers haven’t managed to develop a battery of this chemistry with a viable running time -- until now.
