Interactive Website
Takes the guesswork out of specifying precision linear actuators
Specifiers of precision linear actuators will benefit from the new interactive website launched by Ultra Motion. By going online to www.ultramotion.com and selecting a motor and lead screw for the "Digit" series of linear actuators, or motor, lead screw, and belt-drive-ratio (1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, and 5:1) for the "Bug" series, a Force/Speed Curve is generated. Being able to configure an actuator and evaluate it's a performance online saves time and takes the guesswork out of specifying an actuator to meet the requirements of an application. Preprogrammed Scanning Controller
Compact and user friendly
The SR1000 Preprogrammed Scanning Controller is reportedly designed specifically with a slew of functions to easily guide users to scan and execute critical motion control profiles. Compact in size (approximately 3 × 2.25 × 0.75 inches), the controller is able to achieve accurate fixed speed-scan movement control, a feat primarily accomplished by larger, more expensive controllers. The SR1000 allows users to instantly reach optimal smoothness when acceleration starts from zero level, and likewise, the ability to decelerate with equal ease, allowing users to return to zero speed with the same high accuracy and smoothness. Users are able operate without the problematical need to program special software or learn a particular language protocol. The SR1000 also comes complete with connector pin assignments (for simplified power input, motor drive, limit sensor and control button connections), onboard LED power indicators, and an internal power supply. Integrated Motion & I/O from 1-16 axes
A fully integrated control solution
ORMEC's new ServoWire Motion & Logic Control (SMLC) Models 30, 80, and 160 offer a smaller footprint, improved performance, and more standard features. Utilizing ORMEC's Soft Motion technology (based on IEEE-1394) a single SMLC can control up to sixteen axes of ORMEC ServoWire drives. By combining this capability with CoDeSys IEC 61131-3 programming, PLCopen motion function blocks and industry standard protocols for I/O and network connectivity, the SMLC provides a fully integrated control solution.
The SMLC features high performance computing capability combined with a true real-time operating system (RTOS). Using the Intel family 32-bit processors running the QNX RTOS, the SMLC provides plenty of cost effective, robust computing power for even the most demanding multi-axis motion, I/O control, and connectivity applications.
