High-heat-resistant, custom-manufactured vulcanized silicone rubber moldings can withstand temperatures up to 850F and feature dimensional stability. Mechanical properties include a Shore A65 hardness and tensile strength of 698 psi as cured. High-temperature custom applications include use as reusable covers for pc-board components during wave soldering and conformal coating. Other applications include use as vacuum pick-ups for computer chip manufacturing equipment, masking plugs to protect bolts and components from phosphate wash in powder coat painting system, and other protective covers.
