"Our goal is to give engineers more time to do engineering," say
Marilyn Keyes, vice president of ScienceWise.com and developer of the
website by the same name. She says that the website--which delivers customized
information on published research, funding sources, products, and services to
engineers and scientists--saves users time spent looking for information.
"One of our free services is called the ScienceWise
Collabaratory," say Keyes. "Starting October 15, engineers can share documents,
including CAD drawings, and work collaboratively online in a secure
environment."
The company also offers a free alert service that advises
engineers of opportunities from the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)
program. "SBIR is funding from a dozen federal agencies that total about $1.3
billion," says Keyes.
To sign up for the free services, engineers may go to www.sciencewise.com, fill out a user
profile, and select key words.
