Schefenacker's power folding and power telescoping trailer-tow mirror for Ford Super Duty

June 28, 2007

We like things to be automated in our vehicles.  We like cruise control and voice activated navigation systems. Maybe one day we will let cars drive themselves.

Well until then, Schefenacker is working to make things better for the power-inclined; they recently developed a new power folding/telescoping side mirror to be standard with the 2008 Ford Super Duty. The new feature allows drivers with large tow to be able to see around their load, and when parking to automatically fold their mirrors in (no need to reach out the window).

Each unit contains two mirrors, an LED turn signal, LED clearance indicators and two telescoping arms. The mirror has a nice smooth visual aesthetic based on aerodynamic requirements and consistency with Ford’s style. They also come with interchangeable covers so you can display your patriotic or motorcycle gang affiliation.

The product is the first to incorporate both power telescoping and power folding so the next time you are trailing a horse and have to park your truck between two concrete columns in the city, you’ll be all set.
