Polling Question

T. Boone Blather
I was one of the early supporters of T. Boone Pickens plan to vastly expand wind energy and natural gas. The urgency in his grass roots compaign to gain support for breaking our oil dependency makes a lot of sense. He’s doing what politicians have failed to do for decades. And I still support the centerpiece of his plan which is to reduce our foreign oil dependency by 30% in 10 years.
But he’s beginning to ring hollow. Like a rock star, he circulates around the country and the TV airwaves. However, when asked the tough questions, he stumbles. And he’s restricting press access. Yesterday in Chicago, we sent Chuck Murray to cover his town hall meeting at the Navy Pier. Afterward, the media was shuttled into a small room and was literally told they had five minutes to ask him questions. Murray asked about one of the biggest challenges and that is storage and his thin response was it’s coming. That hardly instills confidence. Also, I have twice requested interviews with him with largely no response. He’s sort of like Sarah Palin - will his plan lose luster if asked the hard questions. Put under the glare of media scrutiny, can the PickensPlan stand up? One wonders.
That said, he could use the media to gain more support for his proposals. And I, for one, don’t understand why he doesn’t.
Dick Tracy commented:
Oh get off him, Sarah Palin is an first class idiot and we all know what they say about birds of a feather, duoh, Homer, go home!
John Dodge commented:
To the \"Undetermined\" person who said \"why should we listen to you?\" That\'s an excellent question. The answer is because I know everything there is to know. Period. Seriously now, I just want to get a damned interview with T. Boone. We have some questions about his plan....which, BTW, I still support even with $2.79 gasoline. He just needs to provide a bit more substance. For instance, I look all over Pickensplan.com to get an update on his big and heavily hyped wind project and could not find anything. We are just doing the requisite reality checks.
Ipicktboone commented:
Look we are having 21st century energy problems and trying to solve them using 20th century bad ideas and out dated poltical pork programs. This is crazy! an you critize T.Boone? I challange anyone here to put up your money and ideas to put forth a better plan.
Ipicktbone commented:
I know T. Boone Pickens has the right Idea! I think it is up to us the American people to support him on his work. The people that seem to critize him don\'t seem to have there own plan, they\'re just blowing hot air up their exchaust pipe.
Barry commented:
Palin, sure she doen\'t answer tough questions, but since when has Obama answered any?
Dr. B commented:
So whose rule is it that you must refrain from saying anything unless you say something good? Sometimes that\'s hard to do. Palin is pretty? Is that satisfactory? TBP is at least attempting to do something--and with his own money. I think we should give him some slack....
Medinensis commented:
The comparison to Palin is valid as long as it is accurate (which it is). The Neo Cons need a hobby to replace whining as a pastime.
gztop commented:
And with typical liberal BS, you couldnt get your point across without a hit against the Republican ticket. You are so typical that you are becoming a cliche. And why do you think that the press, or whatever you are, have all the answers. BTW, I have never heard of you.
Dixie Carter commented:
And you are who??? And why should anyone listen to you?? Maybe T. Boone knows more about you than you know about him. No doubt. If you don\'t have something good to say about Sarah Palin, please refrain from saying anything.
paul grabel commented:
HE SAID OIL WOULD NEVER GO BELOW 100$. WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO HIM.

Light Matters: Systems Level Approach to HBLED illumination applications
Its good practice to apply a systems-level approach to high-brightness LED (HBLED) illumination applications. Minimally, the system includes the optical, thermal and electrical characteristics of the of the HBLED, the lens (if any) which is built-in to its package, secondary optics such as external plastic lenses/reflectors to direct the light as your application requires and power driver electronics.
