Based on some of the comments I received for recent blog posts, “How Many Texans does it Take to Screw in a Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb?” and “NY Tree Formerly Burning 3,510 kW-Hrs Per Day Now Wastes 1,297 Instead”, I fear I may have angered some readers with my “patronizing attitude” toward Texans and my “idiotic” comments on the wasteful nature of Christmas lights.
I want to extend an olive branch to disgruntled readers to show that despite what I wrote, I really do love Texans and Christmas lights deep down in my heart.
While walking around my neighborhood the week after Christmas, I snapped the following photo, which I feel depicts Texans and Christmas lights in a much more positive way than may have come across in my previous blog posts.

I think that image pretty much says it all…
