It's great to see fluid power being folded into an engineering design curriculum. Hydraulics and pneumatics are largely ignored by university-based engineering programs, despite their relevance to the professional practice of mechanical engineering. Hats off to this team of students, to Lawrence Tech, and to the NFPA for supporting the project.
