It seems to me that there is a bit of charge injection going to occur and that it may contribute to some forms of noise. That is my understanding of how at least some of the switching filter noise is created. There are probably a few other mechaniss as well.

OK I thought you were referring to sensitivity to noise on the input signal, that should be the same as a continuous time filter.  (Assuming it's under 1/2 the clock frequency.)

Because a lot of switching occurs within the IC and in surrounding circuits, you can get more noise on the output than you would with op-amp-based filter circuits.

This was one of the nice way to replace the resistors and it was also very interesting to know about it.
