I've used plenty of software with horrible HMIs. So, it's not uncommon to have software too complex to figure out.

Even good software can be trouble. Like when I opened up Adobe Premier without knowing how to use it. I thought it would be straight forward. Nope. Adobe Illustrator too.

Maybe the fact that people these days grew up with computers they CAN comprehend the complexities a lot better today.

I guess what I meant was....Can software get so complex that the users can't comprehend everything that it does? or I am just plain wrong?

They have been adding complexity, collabortion , etc. for some years now. We never had any of this back when I was doing it. It's really interesting to me. It seems like there can be so much information added in now that it just might be getting so complex that...I mean it isn't just CAD anymore. How to keep track of it all. People used to have problems just handling CAD back when I was doing it. With all this added in, they must run into problems with it. I imagine they must anyway. Then again I could be totally wrong.
