Dassault Systemes is at the top of 3D software technology. Many people who design and model products will most likely be using one of their products, which include SolidWorks, CATIA, SIMULIA, and 3DVIA.
The company's latest acquisition includes the German-based RTT Group. RTT is also known for its 3D visualization technology. However, unlike most of Dassault's current products, RTT's 3D software is used more commonly for sales and marketing purposes. Some of the high-end software visualization products include Delta Gen, PictureBook, POS Configurator, and Bunkspeed. Their customers include a long line of car manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Nissan, Porsche, Ferrari, Toyota, and General Motors. Additionally, they have big name customers outside the automotive industry such as The North Face and Adidas.
"Our clients express a growing need to fully exploit their 3D digital assets, to transform their marketing and sales as part of their ultimate customer experience. The people at RTT have demonstrated remarkable talents in delivering innovative solutions to their clients," said Bernard Charles, president and CEO of Dassault Systemes, in a press release.
Ludwig Fuchs, co-founder and CEO of RTT, said in the press release:
The Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE strategy immediately resonated with RTT, especially because we both believe in 3D as a valuable media. From 3D design, all the way through the industry evolution that has resulted in 3DEXPERIENCE, Dassault Systemes has led the way. Combining our respective solution portfolios and service expertise will be a milestone for industry business transformation. Bernard and I have a common belief: 3DEXPERIENCE starts with the consumer and ends with the consumer. We will continue this evolution together.
Dassault Systemes now has a product it can offer its clients to help during the sales and marketing stage of the product's life cycle. It seems Dassault is aiming to be able to offer its clients different products, which they will be able to use through every stage of development. From design to simulation to marketing, Dassault Systemes is offering it all.
