I have the same question as Rob. I think Nadine has a good point about high-functioning autistic or Asperger's syndrome folks. But what about those who are more "normal"?

This could be helpful for people who are on the autistic spectrum, especially teens.  Being able to work with someone who can't get emotionally hurt and stays patient could do wonders.

Nice post, Cabe. You bring up an intersting point in the story. Does this virtualization enable kids to develop better social interaction or does is offer one more excuse to not have social interaction?

Virtual Reality (VR) headsets are getting ready to explode onto the market and it appears all the heavy tech companies are trying to out-develop one another with better features than their competition. Fledgling start-up Vrvana has joined the fray.
A Tokyo company, Miraisens Inc., has unveiled a device that allows users to move virtual 3D objects around and "feel" them via a vibration sensor. The device has many applications within the gaming, medical, and 3D-printing industries.

XYZ, Rabbit, and Disney innovate on the 3d printer in different ways -- from price point to using materials such as yarn.
