Mindboggling - we used to tell our kids that reading books would stir their imaginations in ways that television was incapable of because of its inherent limitations, but now it looks like there is a way to transfer the wildest of imaginations directly to the big screen...

Professional actors have been ready for this for years.  The last writers strike was highly supported by actors who were also fighting for fair pay in new media.  Ex-NFL and NBA players are suing Electronic Arts and other video game makers for using their likeness in games without compensation. 

Now that SAG and AFTRA have merged, some agreements are bring re-looked at.  We'll see what happens.

ps...I wonder if anyone here ISN'T a Battlestar Galactica fan...

Given the advancement of realism in computer graphics and the kinematics, the actors/actress guild should be worried? Voice talent will be the future of acting?

Computer graphics have come a long way since the Silicon Graphics machines of the 1980s. Back then, CG was a tool used by the biggest-name movie producers.

I must admit, the CG makes me want to watch the show. I am more in awe of the tech than the actual story line. Those pesky Cylons...

Depending on the complexity of creation, I hope more people start using Lightwave's platform. It is definitely raising the bar in production value. SciFi original movies, I'm talking to you!
