The Association Connecting Electronic Industries (IPC) and JEDEC are seeking speakers to participate in two global conferences dedicated specifically to addressing the issues of reliability and reliability testing for lead-free electronics.
Presentations from environmental managers and technical staff are sought on any relevant subjects, including:
Design for Reliability
Processing
Reliability
Test
One conference will be held in Berlin, Germany on October 4 – 5, 2007.
The other will be held in Austin, Texas on December 3 – 5.
The conferences offer times slots between 30 and 45 minutes long. Some presentations may be grouped together in a forum or panel discussion. IPC and JEDEC are asking for abstracts of 200 to 300 words along with a brief biography. The abstracts can be sent via email to LFConf@ipc.org.
The deadline for abstracts for the Berlin conference has passed, but the deadline for the Austin conference is August 31, 2007, with papers due by November 1. 2007
The conferences are also seeking proposals from individuals interested in teaching full-day tutorials (six ours) or half-day workshops (three hours) to a class of up to 30 people on topics in these areas. An honorarium is offered to tutorial and workshop instructors.
