One of my favorite messy desks was the one in Jurassic Park, owned by the enginneer played by Wayne Knight (Newman from Sienfeld). The added attraction on his desk was half-eaten food.

Most Organized Engineering Desktops

Maybe we should be asking readers for photos of the most impressive engineering desktops (not their own) in their companies.  We have all seen the engineer with piles of equipment and papers everywhere; it's all too common.  We can probably learn more and get new ideas from the opposite approach.  In fact, are there ANY engineers who have desktops that could be mistaken for an accountant or business executive out there?

I have to agree with Al Sledge's wife about whatever expletive she choose to describe his work area. I'm glad none of those cluttered creations reside in my house or my office space. Beyond all the mess, however, I was intrigued by that FiFo dog robot ... what is that all about?

It opened to traffic on July 1, 1940, and dramatically collapsed into Puget Sound on November 7, just four months after it opened.
Noting that we now live in an era of “confusion and ill-conceived stuff,” Ammunition design studio founder Robert Brunner, speaking at Gigaom Roadmap, said that by adding connectivity to everything and its mother, we aren't necessarily doing ourselves any favors, with many ‘things’ just fine in their unconnected state.
When my daughter decided she wanted to study engineering, I was very proud of her. At the same time, in the back of my mind, I wondered if she knew what she was in for.
AutoDesk has teamed up with 3D scanner provider Artec to link CAD software and 3D scanners to make it faster and easier to create accurate 3D mesh models for printing or digital use.
The key to autonomous driving is not to forget about the driver, and to remember that passengers want a sense of control, as opposed to being utterly passive backseat drivers.
