Analysis and Calculation Software Independent Measurements LLC's DataInHD Software Tools Adobe's H.264 video file format has a specification for cue points. This feature communicates parameters and synchronizes the video to other events on web pages. DataInHD uses this cue point specification to embed data time series in video files. The result is a file with three synchronized tracks: video, audio, and data. This works so well that data points can be inserted as often as between each and every video frame; it allows smooth playback of 1080p video while data displays are continuously updated; and a single, standard video file can be archived with data and video locked in sync, but retaining full display flexibility. Standard video players play video and audio tracks. DataInHD also plays data tracks. Each analyst chooses how to display 12 channels of data: readouts, bars, dials, and time plots, with interactive control of limits, location, size, color, opacity, etc. A data track allows analysts to search video for events based on data thresholds. DataInHD has this search capability as well as export options sending events directly to word processor (image sequences) and presentation software (video clips). Microsoft Office and Open Office are supported.
Lately a lot of vendors have been creating online tools for mobile, desktop, and PC machines and Tolomatic joins the ranks of developing Cloud Computing apps for engineers. Sounds like a cool tool for robotics or Mechatronics design work when selecting electric actuators. I'll be test driving this online tool as well.
I've used TI's WeBench online tool with great success while designing LED Front Headlights for Visteon. What makes this new version of WeBench so appealing is the ability to design and test, through simulation, complete power systems. Can't wait to test drive the software.
