Impressive indeed.

That is quite a race car, the video would have been even more impressive showing it from a standing start. And certainly steering, or, more correctly, aiming, is definitely quite a challenge, although watching from behind should allow one to keep the vehicle in the center of the track.

A discussion of the actual driving process would be very int6eresting, I am sure.

RC cars running ICE powerplants actually lag behind in the speed department when compared to the electrics.  Brushless motors and LiPo batteries have given electrics a big advantage.  The main problem for ICE power plants is gearing.  They can't go from 0 to 188mph with a single gear.  They would need 4 or 5 and then range becomes an issue.

That would be interesting naperlou, however the modifications would probably be extensive.

I would say steer gently, and from behind!  I wouldn't want that thing to get away and come toward me.

Steer?Steering is probably like a top fuel dragster, hope it stays straight and hold on.

I think I would worry about it hitting a rock and flipping! They must carefully sweep the road prior to the run.

This is amazingly fast Cabe. If it wasn't for the sound we would not even notice it going past us. One question though, how does one steer it? I couldn't even see it.

Amazing use of miniaturized technology.  Very impressed with the clever solution for the motor inertia issue.

Naperlou you absolutely right... it must be crazy fast. Yet fun to play with.

Cabe, now that is crazy fast.

It looks like it would be fun to design and build.  I wonder what speed one could obtain from a small ICE.  Now that would be interesting and would involve many different challenges.
