a2 definitely robots should be controllable by humans because it is them only who creates robots . We cant say that robots can eliminate the importance of humans but no doubt these days ther are replacing them to an extent .

@Deberra: Yes robots are important but you must make sure that those robots are controllable. If not it will make a big problem. Always humans should have the control over the robots

No doubt robots are important because they make the lives of human simple , easy and stress free but robots without humans are also nothing that is if something goes wrong in the robot than it is the human only who repairs it and fix it down . so we can conclude that robots cant take the place of humans.

Cabe, you are right no doubt robots cant replace humans but they can work more hard than them we can say that humans are smart workers and robots are hard workers they continue to work and work and work without getting tired and bored .

I believe that second speed was a typo and should have read 12.65 meter/second.

Good point, SherpaDog. It probably won't happen for awhile, but you never know--someday it could! I personally am still impressed by robots like BigDog and LS3. Just their sheer mass and the fact that they can move autonomously (well, LS3 can) is impressive to me.

Haha, good point, Cabe. Humans do have other strengths over robots as well!

Robots never need a break, love to perform monotonous tasks and will gladly work on weekends. That right there pretty much blows me out of the water.

But.... we can stay out in the rain!

Thanks for your comment, bronorb. I agree that this is a scary prospect, if it is indeed possible. That book sounds interesring, I will have to check it out.
