I'm in the market right now for a phone.  I'm leaning heavily towards this phone vs the Samsung Galaxy S5.  The only negative point in my mind against the One M8 is the embedded battery.

If a manufacturer is going to go the non-replaceable embedded route, why not give up another 2mm in thickness and put a really big battery in there?  2600maH is just not enough in my opinion.

They would need to repair the one cable that was accidentally cut. But now thye question comes up about putting it back togather. That is the video that I would like to see.

My son has one and loves it.  He researched it and thought it was one of the best.  I just hope he doesn't try to look inside.  I think I will send him this slide show.

I've had my One now for over a year.  No problems with performance, battery life, or anything.  Great phone.

Generally, I would like to mention that its best if one does not follow the hype on these phones. I got NOTE 3 recently and it has wifi problems. Its best to study reviews and then buy a phone

Shehan,

I have heard alot about this HTC Ultra Pixel technology. People actually compared the Ultra pixel HTC one 4 mega pixel camera with LG G2 13megapixel camera . And reviews were in favor of HTC one.

Most manufactures now come up with the IR blast; this is old technology with a new chapter. I remember the old Nokia 6600 having IR port which could do wonders (you could even control your traditional TV)

HTC's ultra-pixel technology is one of the best cameras with much resolution and great for low light photography. I have always wanted to get one of these monsters.

@microslav – I should ask what these color codes within brackets show us?

Quad core processor and large display have always been a problem for the battery. HTC has always been looking into this problem with utmost importance.
