I guess you're right, Naperlou. I was a bit surprised by the efficiency gain given the low tech natrure of the change. But it makes sense.

Yes, Rob, layout of an industrial facility is the main driver of efficiency after product design.  It is useful when design and facility layout can be done by the same group of people who can efficiently coordinate to reduce bottlenecks.
